As an integrated property service provider with a workforce across the UK, it’s important that staff have the opportunity to come together to hear and share ideas on a regular basis.

Last week we held our latest Team Day at the North Lakes Hotel in Penrith – a half way point between our Leeds and Scottish offices.

The main aim of the day was to bring key staff together, from across each division, for an interactive and immersive workshop in order to further strengthen our fantastic team.

Since embarking on the company’s 2020 Vision and growth plan we have instilled five strategic priorities across the business; SQS (Safety, Quality, Service), People, Sustainable Growth, Technology and Performance. These priorities formed the direction for the day and staff were given a number of interactive tasks to complete together in teams, that were designed to engage and give everyone the chance to provide their own input and ideas.

Ian Flanagan, CEO of RFM Group, added his thoughts on the team day; “Our staff are the reason for our growing success. Recognising and rewarding them with days like these are very important, to engage all staff, install motivation and inspiration, whilst at the same time providing an insight into the future of the business. This includes all the technology, infrastructure and training we are currently implementing into the business. We work in a changing industry, and we have to be proactive and ahead of the game if we want to achieve our long-term vision.”

To ensure we collated useful feedback throughout the day, staff took part in an online poll filled with questions related to our company culture, benefits, and working practices. This was a useful opportunity to gain employee’s opinions on the content of the day and to help the company to improve on communication and business practices.

The Team Day was gratefully received by staff and we are looking forward to planning the next one in March as we approach the end of our financial year.
