Northern Gas Networks
Northern Gas Networks are currently creating a number of local hubs across the UK to provide a base for their workforce and also act as training centres.
The site on Stephenson Industrial Estate was an empty shell which required a full refurbishment and fit-out. The client required a contractor who could deliver the project under a strict schedule and budget in order for their staff to be able to accommodate the hub as soon as possible.
They also required a functional space to include, offices, manufacturing area, training centre, kitchen and bathrooms, as well as some exterior works to the large yard.

Outcome
Through stringent project management, the works ran smoothly and met the extended deadline and within budget. Challenges were met along the way with extreme and adverse weather conditions to contend with, which delayed the laying of some concrete but the team were able to make the time back and deliver an outstanding project for the client.
In addition to the original brief a seven-metre sliding electric gate, barrier and palisade fencing were also installed pushing the final date of completion only one week on from the original schedule.
