NHS Digital Whitehall II, Cleaning

The Brief

NHS Digital are the national information and technology partner to the health and social care system using digital technology to transform the NHS and social care.

Following the successful fit-out project for NHS Digital delivered by RFM, we were also awarded the cleaning contract for the two floors of NHS Digital’s office in Leeds city centre. As the building houses 375 staff, the upkeep of the facilities is critical to creating a welcoming and productive environment. The client required daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties to be undertaken as part of the schedule of works.

Outcome

NHS Digital require regular audits to ensure the cleaning quality and service meet the KPIs agreed at the outset of the contract. Therefore, the RFM management team are hands-on and work alongside the team to ensure bi-Monthly audit results are recorded and fed-back to the client.

RFM Group have recently been awarded the cleaning contract of an extra floor of the Whitehall building following successful feedback and auditing processes.

“I’ve worked in this building for a year now and the desks, furniture and communal areas are always very clean. Having moved from an office location where desks didn’t seem to be cleaned or dusted I’ve really noticed the difference. My side of the office is cleaned by one of your cleaners who is extremely friendly, has taken the trouble to get to know everyone’s names and has brought us chocolates on more than one occasion! I’ve never worked in an office where a member of the cleaning team is so friendly or cheerful as she does her work in the evening. In addition to her personality, her dedication to providing the best cleaning service possible is obvious. She cleans desks, ensures no desk is missed by returning when their occupants leave, dusts desk furniture, chairs, window sills, lockers, moves dirty plates and cups (which surely is not her responsibility), vacuums thoroughly and from time to time I have even seen her scrubbing the carpets by hand (which again seems above and beyond the levels of effort one would normally expect). All in all we are lucky to have such a nice person to visit us each evening and grateful that our office environment is so clean!”
